I've used Photoshop outside of class before, but I still struggle with it. Hopefully I'll start grasping the concepts of how to use it right, because everything is still overwhelming to me. It took me a little while before I fully understood the basics of AI, so hopefully I'll start being able to do the basics for Photoshop too.

Working on the connecting with your younger self picture was really time consuming. I didn't realize how long I would spend cutting myself out of a photo.. in the end I spent over an hour on it! When that was done I tried to make it a little more realistic than my current self floating without a shadow. I think it partially worked, but it still looks a bit wonky due to lighting differences.

I think my macro photo of my cat Annabelle is successful because of a few reasons. The framing of her fur makes the viewer look around and it leaves no negative space. Also, the viewer can see lots of details of her fur and whiskers and little nose.
